Want to see how GREDb got to how it is? Here is the entire history of the site.
- 25th of March 2008 - I got the domain secured up and hosting up and running for the new site. No incredible changes for now, I don't even have an index page.
- 26th of March 2008 - The site's got his own homepage now! (no under construction placeholders...). It has a basic skeleton to it now, enough to be indexed by google so I can get working on the CSS side soon.
- 27th of March 2008 - Got working with the formatting of the site and trying to keep everything well optimized. The method implied is to use notepad++ only, at least for the moment. The reason is quite simple. Not being an expert of HTML and others, it pays building your site from the ground up. I will know every bit and piece of this domain, at least until I get to using CSS actively.
- 28th of March 2008 - Started working on the CSS side of the site. It will take a bit longer until it will be actually integrated, but you got a taste of what is coming up with that little title piece up there. I want to finish the visual side first because you will like reading about games in a nice environment, instead of a plain white screen with ant-like letters. Tomorrow I'll probably just keep going on the graphical side, and maybe slide in some interesting things too.
- 29th of March 2008 - Haven't done much on the graphics side, just optimizing the graphic content.
- 30th of March 2008 - Made the site a bit better on the structure side, and started using tables for structuring, tomorrow I will write the first review, for an indie game, you will see which.
- 1st of April 2008 - We've made it to the second quarter of the year 2008, and being April fool's day, I've just improved the structuring of the site and worked some game lists over. Tommorow will see some changes to the site, I'm sure.
- 2nd of April 2008 - Some progress has been made and now we've got supporting Google Ads on. Hope it will actually support me, rather than use up space, so try sporting some clicks on them. If you use Internet Explorer, I highly advise you to get firefox from the ad on the left. I have also made the first review, and you can see it in the reviews page.(I was also thinking of a community forum, but it seems far off now)
- 3rd of April 2008 - Nothing much today, just playing some games to review.
- 4th of April 2008 - No work today, beside getting some screenshots done.
- 5th of April 2008 - One more review on the site, check it out!
- 6th of April 2008 - Basically slacked off at the site, because I had matters to attend to.
- 7th of April 2008 - Wrote another review, you should go see it too.
- 8th of April 2008 - Taking a break, it's hard to write that much of a review in one heat...
- 9th of April 2008 - Playtesting two new games.
- 10th of April 2008 - One of them is a strategy game, it will come first.
- 11th of April 2008 - The other one is an action/RPG/platformer/free-roam game, it will take a while.
- 12th of April 2008 - Still playtesting...
- 15th of April 2008 - Nothing new on the site, busy week, just testing 2 new games. One game is to be reviewed tomorrow, the other will have to wait a while. Sorry for the big delays.
- 16th of April 2008 - Finally written one of the two reviews (check it out!), the other one might take a while though, as it's still not played through.
- 17th of April 2008 - Written another one, check it out! This one is huge in my opinion. The other will have screenshots soon.
- 18th of April 2008 - DoW finally got it's screenshots. Break time! I gotta get some more games to review.
- 21st of April 2008 - Written yet another review, seems like I'm gonna be testing some games for some time. In the meantime, I'm gonna try to get those forums up, they seem to be a little tricky, but nothing impossible, I presume.
- 25th of April 2008 - Seems like after exactly one month I managed to pull off the making of the forums... finally! You should get registered and fill it up, as it's quite bare now...
- 27th of April 2008 - Mount and Blade 0.950 has been released! Check it out on the forums of Taleworlds here!
- 2nd of May 2008 - If you haven't noticed already, the website has been revamped with Cascading Style Sheets! Unfortunately, this feat took me nearly the entire day, and now I can't change the remaining few sites into the new design... so the reviews will have to wait a bit.
- 3rd of May 2008 - Done with that as well, and the site looks brand new! Nice. Now back to reviewing games, where all the meat is. I got 3 games on the barrel, so I'll be doing those, after which I'm gonna take a little break. The site is always going to be updated though!
- 4th of May 2008 - Back to reviewing, and up in force, as I have reviewed another game. Check it out on the Reviews page! and discuss about it on the forums!
- 8th of May 2008 - I've been really busy with testing games and stuff like that, and I have made some paragraph subtitles for the existing (and next) subtitles. Anyway, I'm really late on any kind of reviews, so you should expect another quite soon. I think I'm going to preview Dwarf Fortress next (casual players beware, ASCII graphics involved). As other changes... I finally got the space in the title between "reviews" and "database", I darkened the content font a bit (because of advice from Victor van Vlaardingen (of the LFS Tech)), and... uhh... that's about it I guess... No, I included RSS in this news site, so subscribe to it and be informed when stuff appears!
- 11th of May 2008 - I'm tired now, finally finished the Dwarf Fortress preview, check it out! Also, Mount&Blade has been updated again, new version is 0.951.
- 19th of May 2008 - Been really inactive lately, mainly because of the fact that I have been out of town for the weekend and the internet hasn't been working for 5 days. I blame my ISP for it. Anyway, I still haven't placed pics in the Dwarf Fortress review, but I have modified it to reflect some of my mistakes in it. On the other hand, it seems like a new test version of LiveForSpeed is out, giving the user more multiplayer replay control than it did before (now it is similar to single player replay), and also Mount&Blade 0.952 has been released, with some more bugfixes and the such. Anything else?... I've been lazy, I know, but that will be subject to change.
- 6th of June 2008 - Yeah, yeah, I've been sleeping for about 3 weeks, that's right. Actually, I had school to attend to, so that's why you haven't seen an update for so long. Ok, let's cut to the chase, I finally got screenshots for Dwarf Fortress up, I got a few more games to play and review, so these days the site will be wildly active, so stay tuned! Also, the 0.955 version of Mount&Blade has been released earlier and it contains some more bugfixes. The LFS racing simulator got a little testing version up as well, incrementing to Y19, with new replay controls and interface.
- 27th of June 2008 - The Blizzard World Wide Invitational takes place tomorrow in Paris, France, and rumours fly around of a new title in the works. It might be unveiled there. Also, the last beta version of Mount&Blade has been released, namely version 0.960, so expect a release and a subsequent review this summer.
- 28th of June 2008 - DIABLO III ANNOUNCED! Check the coverage here! UPDATE: gameplay video coverage featured!
- 4th of July 2008 - Happy Birthday America!
- 5th of July 2008 - A new Diablo III feature up concerning the fan-made art direction petition. I will not be writing anything on the site for a week or so, as I have a vacation to go on as well. Expect more at my return.
- 1st of December 2008 - Damn, this site has been starting to gather digital dust... Well, it's dusted off now, and breathing new life as well. I made a few changes to the look of it now, and you should be able to see that the text is slightly larger and darker, as such easier to read. Also, if you look at a review, you might see the details box, something I came up with today. I hope you like the general design of the site, and expect many new reviews sooner than you think.
- December 2nd, 2008 - Seems like I'm back with a bang, so check out the reviews page. If you like it, I'm glad. If you liked the old one, I'm sorry for you. More to come. Perhaps not tomorrow, but the day after that.
- December 7nd, 2008 - Since I removed the previews from the reviews section, I've added them to the features section. I might even start writing a few reviews if I weren't that "busy" with playing GTA IV all the time. This game is a friggin' time waster.
- December 26th, 2008 - Merry Christmas... a day later.
- January 18th, 2009 - Happy 2009, and now to business - New Review : Lord of the Rings: Conquest! Also, updated the copyright year down there since I have forgotten about it until yesterday.
- May 1st, 2009 - Apparently I had forgotten all about the fact that the text here in the news wasn't justified. Problem solved.
- May 3rd, 2009 - New review is up: X-Men Origins: Wolverine. This will probably be the last review for a little while, since I have exams coming up, but you might never know.
- May 7th, 2009 - Another review is up: Tom Clancy's HAWX. I lied a few days ago. Nonetheless, I don't have any internetz now, so I think it might be for realz now.
- May 9th, 2009 - Yet another review is up: Burnout Paradise, The Ultimate Box. I must be nutz - 3 reviews in one week. You can also see the new site hosted here for 2 of my classmates here.
- May 10th, 2009 - Not really an update of my site, but the fact that I've hosted 3 more sites here: Fashion, Animal World and Vikings.
- December 26th, 2009 - It's been a while. Look... a cobweb... I guess the spider died of old age. Yeah... Aw! I've written two more reviews today to compensate. Expect another one after I'm done sleeping. I've reviewed The Saboteur and Zombie Shooter 2. Check em out!
